THE CORSO ZUNDERT – CELEBRATING VAN GOGH
Over the past few years the floats at the annual Corso Zundert event held in Zundert, Netherlands, have been making a name for the City. The region is already famous among those in the know for it’s production of Dahlia flowers, but I’d argue that it’s now equally famous for it’s bloomin’ huge floats (pun intended). Celebrating and commemorating Zundert’s golden boy, Vincent Van Gogh, on the 125th anniversary of his death, 19 teams put their all into momentous floats abound with bulbs and inspired by the works of the late, great Artist.
Some are freaky, some are …slightly less so. With Van Gogh as your inspiration they were always going to be a little out there, but that’s what makes them so great! Bold colours and energetic rhythms weave and flow throughout the floats, amazing in their own right, let alone the fact they’re made of flowers.
